                          WHAT'S MULTIINDICATOR ?

MultiIndicator is an ASC-HEX-Guide-indicator, but you have to remember that
you need AmigaGuide, MultiView or a similar program to indicate Guide-files.

This program isn't an indicator for FD-disks, because it

    1. is too voluminous,
    2. needs OS2.0 or higher,
    3. needs more memory than other indicators.

@PREV Whatis
@NEXT Wherefrom

                            WHY MULTIINDICATOR ?

Read the following features and compare with other programs !

1. MultiIndicator shows ASC-files (with or without ESC-sequences and Tabs),
HEX-files and Guide-files (if an external Guideindicator is available).
MultiIndicator decides automatically if it uses the ASC-, HEX- or Guide-
    indicator.

2. MultiIndicator passes over ESC-sequences which would impair the output
    on the screen.

3. MultiIndicator can be configured with Prefs-files, that means you can
    always configure MultiIndicator differently.

4. MultiIndicator opens an AppIcon, if it was started from the Workbench,
so you can use it when you need it.

5. MultiIndicator shows compressed Guide-files exactly. This is not possi-
ble if you use AmigaGuide or MultiView alone.

6. You can compress and encrypt files with XPK. MultiIndicator realizes if
a file is compressed and crypted, for example you can compress a file
with SHRI and then crypt that file with FEAL - MultiIndicator realizes
    this.

7. MultiIndicator has a comfortable print option, so you needn't use a
    special print utility for ASC-files.

8. MultiIndicator supports localization under Workbench 2.1.

9. MultiIndicator supports many options of OS 3.x, for example scalable
    Gadgets, NewLookMenues, Waitpointer and other.

10. MultiIndicator has a very good help facility.

11. MultiIndicator supports an external ASC-editor.

12. MultiIndicator supports an external HEX-editor.

13. MultiIndicator allows you to change the line spacing.

14. MultiIndicator has a little ARexxPort.

15. MultiIndicator opens an AppWindow.

16. and other

These are only the most important features.

Look at the changes in @{"History" LINK History} for more informations.
