f1c6 What is NUV? New User Voting is a process where a user is logged on to the BBS as a new user, and assigned a temporary access group with minor, though not too restrictive access priveledges. During this time, Users that are fully validated vote yes or no on whether or not the user in question can be allowed complete access to the board. In this way, the SysOp is able to get the users' opinions on the new user and gives the users an interesting opportunity to take part in management of the board. Read the comments about the user carefully, assuming any were made, and add any info you consider relevant. Then cast your vote on the user, be it yes or no. You will be given the tally of how the vote on this user is progressing. You are enouraged to also use a very important factor in your vote: How active this user is in the message and file bases, and the content of their posts... do they promote discussion, or do they write like an idiot?
