Version 2.01 RELEASE VERSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
o Minor Changes
Version 1.98 BETA VERSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

o Corrected problem with Emperor Hall of Fame generation. Problem occured
  if Emp.Emperors file Existed but was Empty.

o Add some more error checking into Last XX Emperors generation.

Version 1.94 BETA VERSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
o Reversed Last 10 Emperors List.
o Fixed bug in Last 10 Emperors.  Bug existed only when an Emperors
  handle had the word 'on' in it.  Spaceman found this critter.
Version 1.93 BETA VERSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

o Fixed problem in update of Emp.Emperor file.

o Added new TopTen files into Delete list (Emp.Reset).

Version 1.92 BETA VERSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
o Added SPAWNing of Emp.UpEmp when a player is crowned Emperor.
  This file generates the Emperor Hall of Fame.  It can be ran by itself,
  through Emp.Util or will automatically run through Emp.Maint.  If
  Emp.UpEmp has never been ran before (hence no Emp.Emperors file has
  been generated) then it will read in the Emp.Emperor file (this is the
  last 10 Emperors) and create the Emp.Emperors file.
o Added generation of Emp.Top10.3 (Last 10 Emperors).  This file is
  generated from the Emp.Emperor file (which has been around awhile).
Version 1.91 BETA VERSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

o During a Reset, Empire now updates an Emp.Emperors file. This file
  contains all the Emperors names and how many times they have been
  crowned Emperor.

o I edited the Top xx Logs, I changed the Name field from 20 chars
  to 22 chars; Land/Acres field from 10 chars to 8 chars. With the
  addition of the Rank to some long names, some names where being
  chopped off. This will give us 2 more chars to work with.

Version 1.90 BETA VERSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
o If there are less than 10 players, Emp.Maint will not longer
  generate a Top 5.  It will generate for however many people
  there are.  So as soon as there are 2 players, you should start
  getting a Top 2.
Version 1.80 BETA VERSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

o Added Main Running Check to prevent multiple Emp.Maint runnings

o Updated installation instructions for adding Emp.Maint to BBSEVENT,
   see Installation below for details.

Version 1.70 BETA VERSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
o Small changes
Version 1.60 BETA VERSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

o Emp.Maint now adds entries into the Players Log whenever it is
  run.

Version 1.52 BETA VERSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
o Colors converted to new C-Net 2.0 standard.
o Port routines added to prevent Emp.Maint from running while
  Empire is being ran on another port.  Emp.Maint will send a
  termination request and kick the player off so that it can
  run.
Version 1.51 BETA VERSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

o Reset re-written to avoid problems.

o Visual status of who is being processed.

o Minor tweaks here and there...

Version 1.5 Update
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
o Sort routines are now done internally (no more usage of Workbench
  SORT command).  The sorts are now faster.
o The player alphabetizing is now done with my internal sorts.  So
  it is faster now also.
o A Skypics honor roll is now generated.  (It isn't fancy, just a
  font change for the heading.)
o Many routines have been re-written to run a bit faster.
o As Emp.Maint runs, it gives more information to the screen explaining
  exactly what it is doing.
o The bug that cuased problems with the inactive player weed
  was fixed.  It did not like comparing dates of two different years.
  It would not see them as inactive and not delete them.
o Emp.Maint has been updated to use new Empire v1.5 Directory Stucture.
About
~~~~~
Emp.Maint is a Maintenance file for C-Net Amiga Empire v1.3 and above.
This program can be ran in the PFILES system and/or during Amaint to
do the following.

 o Generate a Top Ten Honor Roll (if there are 10 players)
 o Generate a Top xx Honor Roll (if there are less than 10 players)
 o Generate the Emperor Hall of Fame
 o Generate Last 10 Emperors file
 o Delete Inactive players
 o Shorten various Empire logs
 o Reset Empire when someone is crowned Emperor (If RESET=1 in Emp.Config)

Installation
~~~~~~~~~~~~
This file can be added into the PFILES directory and simply ran by
the sysop or users.  This would probally work better if installed to
run during C-Nets Automaint.  To install this file in AMaint, Edit the
BBSEVENT0 file and add the following line:
ALL     400     ALL     400     -oh     RUNA    pfiles:Emp.Maint
Before this change in the BBSEVENT0 file is recognized, C-Net must be
reloaded.
Misc Notes
~~~~~~~~~~

 o The Inactive Player deletion has a built in precaution. It will only
   delete 5 players in one execution. This is just in case your system
   date is somehow corrupted to prevent all the players from being deleted.

 o The method of determining the the date for inactive deleting required a
   change in the Empire player files. This change included the addition of
   the last play date in days of the year. This change made it EASY to
   determine if they needed to be deleted. However, this change was not
   made until Empire v1.2. Therefore, the users that have not played the
   Empire v1.2 will not be updated and not be deleted. This can be
   overcome by manually deleting them or editing their last play date
   via the Empire maint commands.

That's it!
