        CNet 3.05c  BBS-Bingo  Release Version 1.1  Sep-16-1994
===========================================================================

Description
~~~~~~~~~~~
	I have yet to see any good BINGO pfiles available for CNet Amiga
  BBS's.  I based this game on my experience playing Bingo over the years.
  This program is written entirely in ARexx, for CNet BBS's.  I have not
  yet tested it on any machines other than an Amiga 2000 with 4 MEGs of
  RAM, SupraTurbo 28, Amiga Dos 2.1 and doubt that memory will be a problem
  on any CNet BBS.
        The Game does require a good IBM type font set like CNet21, and it
  also uses a mixture of ANSI and MCI cursor/color codes. The next upgrade
  to this game will probably include and ASCII and Amiga ANSI version.
 	 Please NOTE that I have only tested it on CNet 3.05c at the time
  of release. If any changes are needed to make the program compatible
  with earlier versions of CNet will be noted in upgrade release DOC's.
 	The Game is designed directly from my experience playing real
  Bingo. You start the game by selecting what type of game to play;
           Standard Across, Up-Down or Diagonal rows.
           Postage Stamp - any of the four corners.
           Small X - The four spots around the free space.
           Big L - A top or bottom Row and the "B" or "O" column.
           Big X - Two complete diagonal rows.
           Cover All - Every spot must be covered.
  After you select game type, then you are taken to your card and a display
  board showing the "called" numbers. Once a number has been called, it will
  be highlighted on this board. You have the option of selecting a different
  card before play begins. No limit on how many times you can change cards.
  Once you have accepted your card, then the first number is called and if
  you have t on your card, you mark it by pressing the "M" key and the card
  will be highlighted.  You must then press the "SPACE BAR" to call the next
  number.  A Bingo is declared by pressing the "B" key. The card will be
  checked for a bingo and the player will be notified of a win or not.
  A player can "Q"uit at anytime during the game but it will still be counted
  as a full play. A random number of calls is determined before each play as
  to how many numbers will be called before a winner in the hall gets a
  BINGO. Player will be notified if another person gets the BINGO first.
  Enjoy...
How to Install:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
   Follow these steps:

 1> UN-LHA the files into whatever directory you want, but remember this
    directory name. It will be needed later.

 2> Copy the "BINGO.CFG" file into your PFILES: directory. It MUST be
    there for this game to work properly!

 3> Use a text editor and edit the file "pfiles:BINGO.CFG" to include the
    following information:

    LINE-1:  Your BBS name.
    LINE-2:  The Sysop's Handle/Name.
    LINE-3: The path of the game files. (Include the "/" at end of line)
    LINE-4: Max number of Turns per day (0 = disabled)
    LINE-5: Max number of Plays per turn (0 = disabled)
    LINE-6: Prize amount for Standard Bingo ($10)
    LINE-7: Prize amount for Postage Stamp ($25)
    LINE-8:  Prize amount for Small X        ($50)
    LINE-9:  Prize amount for Big L         ($250)
    LINE-10: Prize amount for Big X         ($500)
    LINE-11: Prize amount for Cover All ($1000)

   (If max turns/day = 5 and max palys/turn = 10, that will allow the user
    to have 5 turns of 10 cards each.)

 NOTE: DO NOT edit the main program file "bingo", it will not run if it
        is altered.

 4> Use the "AO" (Adopt Orphans) or "A" command to adopt the file "BINGO"
    into the Pfiles section of your BBS:

    example:(I have my files in pfiles:hbingo/)...  pfiles:HBINGO/Bingo

    Be sure and turn OFF the "MORE" mode and "LINE WRAP".

    Be sure and turn OFF "One player at a time"
        (BBS-BINGO is Multi-Port aware.)

Additional Files Created by game:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
	The first time the game is played, it will create the files:
    "LASTMOWIN.DAT" - Last Month's Top Winner.
    "USER.DAT"  - Users data file.
    "BUSY" - Flag for multi-port use.
Final Notes:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
        At this time, this is an MCI/ANSI game. I will be working on a new
     version to support ASCII users. A straight ASCII player will NOT be
     able to play this game, so install it in an ANSI game area of pfiles.

	That is about it. I created this program with the intention of it
     being an easy to install, configure and use PFile for CNet BBS's.

	Direct all questions to BOSS using NET-MAIL; CLink @911:6005/0.0
     or call my BBS at (813) 855-9608, 855-8425  300-14400 V.32bis

 	Please read the REGISTER.DOC included with this archive for
     instructions on registering the game and what you will get with
     the registered version. (If I decide to ask for registrations)

HISTORY:
~~~~~~~~
  * Bingo became multi-port aware, more than one online user at a time.
  * Added "Your total winnings" to the used number board.
  * Made the sound default to OFF, use "S" to toggle it on if you like it.
  * Optimized the code for 2400 and IBM users.
  * Added ALL player stats to the beginning of the game.
  * Added play the same card again to the play again prompt.
  * Added QUIT to the game type selection prompt.
  * Modifed the top five display code, shortened and optimized it.
  * Turned off flashing colors for the numbers prompt. (irritating)
  * Changed the "Big-L" to check for BINGO on all four corners.
  * Added all port muffling, to avoid screen corrupting on OLMS
    (If a user has MU on already, this WILL turn it off instead!)
 Version 1.1 ...
  * Fixed a couple of minor logic bugs.
