Welcome  to  that unnamed East Indies island, where the breezes are fickle,
the  natives  friendly,  and  to  a  resort/golf course that will test your
mettle.  The Hotel is 3 star, and each room has a Jacuzzi.  See your travel

Puerto Blanca

This  course  design came to me in a dream (nightmare type).  I started out
wanting  to  make  it  more  like an arcade course - ridiculous angles, 290
stretches  over  water,  500 yard 3's, etc.  But then a moment (brief, very
brief)  of  sanity  struck.  Many of the holes do present weird angles, and
there  are  many blind shots here if you are not precise.  Jack N took a 13
on #18, WITHOUT going OB or in the water.  You can get burned.

On a calm day, normal or wet conditions, and a driver that does not hook or
draw  too badly, you can score well.  Under dry conditions, your round will
be interesting at the least.

One  trademark  of my designs, is that the greens are true.  They will have
undulations,  but  seldom  drastic....unless  the  hole  would  be too easy
otherwise.   I  like  to design courses that require thought, precision and
every  club  in  the bag....courses that will require many options, (like a
strong  7 iron or a soft 6?) over or under the trees, or which landing area
presents the best next shot.  I find it extensively frustrating to get on a
Par  5  with  3  great  shots,  then  4 putt because someone decided 4 foot
undulations every 5 feet was "cute".
