This file is to help share any tips or information that players have discovered while playing Jack Nicklaus' Unlimited Golf & Course Design. Please let me know of any thing that you discover so that I can add to this file for the benifit of all players. 1) To turn the sound of during play press F10. This does not stop the music at the end of the game, just the sound during it. If you know of a way to stop the music let me know! 2) Sometimes on short putts the cup is placed on the screen two inches left of the putter, when this happens ignore it and putt as if the cup was in the correct place. This works most of the time. 3) I get the impresion that some of the computer players do not count their strokes as well as the rest of us. Just keep this in mind if you think the player took more strokes on the course than on the scorecard. 4) To test a new course I pick four computer players and let them play on their own. Once they get to the first tee you can leave them alone and do other things while they play the course. I use this method to test each of the courses for at least ten rounds by the foursome of computer players. This gives me a good indication on a problem that there may be with a hole by having it played at least 40 times and keeping track of the scores. 5) Just my opinion but if I where Jack I would be the best player on this game, he is not and is beaten quite often by other computer players. His game is very good except for putting, Art the beginner almost always putts better for example. 6) If you want to start with a blank hall of fame the file to delete is called file.HI that is the name of the course with the extension of the letters HI, not the extension H1 that is hole number one. Make a backup before doing any deleting of any files! The file should have 322 bytes if it is larger it may be the wrong file. This is good when you want to start over after changing your skill or tee level. eof
