While this is based on the Heathland Course, the over-all layout is
imaginary as I did not have access to any diagrams showing the course
layout. I did have "A Guide to the Links" which gave descriptions of
the individual holes of Heathland, Moorland, Marsh Harbour, Oyster
Bay and the Heritage Club - three of which makes up The Legends Golf
Club. Surprisingly, the yardage book/scorecards (another source of
information for the course) show only each hole but no diagram of
the overall placement.

This par 71 course was designed by Tom Doaks. The name "heathland"
probably gives rise to the fact that the course has been molded in
the image of the British link courses, with holes reminiscent of
familiar links like St. Andrews and unknown gems like Lahinch and
Cruden Bay. Most of the holes have no trees on them, providing a
visual presentation like no course around. So the challenge here
comes from the wind and the bunkers and narrow fairways and deep roughs.

Some of the greens are huge and you have to be aware of pin
positions. A 42-yard width with a 22-depth makes things a bit dicey
should you be on the wrong portion of the green! Much of the bunkers
are deep and require well-played shots to escape.
