SPECIAL EFFECTS DEPARTMENT? Actually, noÑthis is just another introduction to a different kind of typeface. Prisma is an old, special-effects font which has no lower case letters and very few symbols. Its use is strictly limited to display purposes. It's great for ads or bold headlines, and it's perfect for the desktop publisher who needs something different. You must know the usual routine by now: use Font/DA Mover to put the font on your system, and just toss the other file in your system folder. (However, we recommendÑif you have SuitcaseIIÑto use this font only when you need it. We'll be honest and tell you that Prisma is not going to be a primary font.) We have included only two bit-mapped sizes: 36 and 48 pt. The reason for this is simple: this font looks like crap in any size smaller (not to mention how bad the screen looks), but it's great blown up. Try and figure. Don't use it small. 48 pt. is best. Believe us on this one. Prisma was developed and adapted (this is not the same face as the one in the type books because the client for whom we developed it had special needs) by West Paces Publishing, a desktop publishing company in Atlanta, GA. We worked a long time on this particular typeface (it had to be done twice), and it is shareware. However, since it is not a fully configured font, we ask a shareware feel of only $9.95. If you like and/or use Prisma, please help us defray our costs by sending the shareware fee to: West Paces Publishing 77 E. Andrews Drive - Suite 389 Atlanta, GA 30305-1335 We hope you like this font. Watch for more in the coming weeks.
