Being really different means some thought, usually some pre-planning, and a degree of bravery ! This next section looks at a few tricks, but the possibilities really are endless. Each basic type of trick has it`s variations, and each of these can be used in conjunction with any number of others. Starting in the camera, there are the possibilities of double exposures and multiple flash effects. There are also different types of film to use, and the processing can be played with. Filters can be fitted to the lens to produce various effects from simple colour changes, to a whole variety of special effects available from the filter manufacturers - diffusers, split image, colour fringing etc. etc. Once the film is processed, it can be re-photographed to produce multiple images, or manipulated under the enlarger to produce multiple prints or other effects. The finished print can be toned or coloured with dyes. It could be cut up and used in montages. There is little point going on further. Look at these images, then use your own imagination to produce your own special masterpiece.
