A copy from a 35 mm. colour slide shot in Florida of a Cattle
Egret. One of the great things in this part of the world for a
keen natural history photographer are the vast numbers of
subjects. 

In general, they are so used to people, you can get VERY close
with little difficulty.

In this case, the bird was fully sunlit against a dark and shaded
background. On full auto, the exposure would have be very over
the top.



I took a reading with the camera - fitted with a 70/210 - of a
sunlit scene, then set this exposure on the camera in manual.
This is the result. The light level was so good that support was
un-necessary - but still helps if available.
