The cheap 400 mm. lens in use for pictorial photography. This shot was taken with a Zenith E, the extremely cheap, but surprisingly good Russian camera. The film was 400 ISO rated at 1200 ISO and developed in the speed increasing developer, Paterson Acuspeed. I had been taking available light shots in the local market hall. Although the quality of this cheap long focus lens left a lot to be desired, it was good for this type of shot. I always asked the audience, if local, where this was taken. It is a well known street in my town but the compression of the long lens had changed things so much that no one ever recognised it until told.
