ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ About Lockup: *************** Lockup Locks up any device it is booted from. It dose this by puting a Window that Covers the screen, so you can`t get to the Workbench screen. Then It Opens Another Window On Top Of This with a string gadget. You Type In Your Password And If It Is Correct, Both The Windows Close and the About Window Pops Up. Close this to end the program. There Is Also A Personal Version That Has Your Name On It. If You Want This Version Send Me This Disk And Your Name, Address & I Will Make You A Personal Version Which Will Have Your Name On It. And Send It Back To You. How to Use Lockup: ******************** 1 - The Program Will Delay For A Number Of Seconds. 2 - When the window with the white box will open, click in this box. 3 - Delete what the box contains and type in the password. 4 - If you get it right the window will close. 5 - The About window appers. 6 - Close this window to end the program. Another Use For Lockup: ************************* If You Have An Amiga 1200, In The Commodities Drawer Of The Tools Drawer There Is A Screen Blanker Called Blanker. 1 - Open Shell and type `run blanker' 2 - If you are happy with the delay time select Hide from the menu. 3 - On Shell type 'LockupV3.6' Lockup will run and your Amiga will be protected. No leave your Amiga for 5 Minutes or so. Now Blanker will protect your screen, Lockup will protect your work. How To Run Lockup: ******************** To Run Lockup you can: 1 - Double Click On The Lockup_Run Icon. 2 - Open shell and type 'LockupV3.6' (If Installed) Note: Don`t Double Click On LockupHD_Run, because this runs Lockup from your hard drive! If You Have Installed Lockup Then You Can Double Click On This One. How To Edit The Password & Lockup Delay ***************************************** To Edit the password use the program called EDL3.6P Version 2 This program can be run from Shell or by clicking on its icon (EDL3.6P2_Run). To Run From Shell: 1 - Open Shell 2 - Type 'EDL3.6P2' (without the speach marks) if instlled to hard drive OR 2 - Type 'df0:LockupV3.6/EDL3.6P2' 3 - A Window will apper asking for your old password. If this is the first time you have used EDL3.6P Version 2 then the password is password. If not then enter your old password. Follow the instructions on the window. 4 - If you get the old password right then the main contol pannel will apper. Form Here you can edit the delay for Lockup and edit your password. 4a - To edit the password click in the string gadget, delete its what it contains and type in your new password. Then press enter. 4b - To edit the delay click on the `Edit Delay' button next to the 'OK' button. Then just follow the instructions on the window. 5 - Press the 'OK' button to save the password. Note: Press 1 or Click in the close gadget to quit from EDL3.6P2. This will NOT save your new password. The Password At The start = password The Password Can Have Up To 40 charaters In It, with spaces. eg your password could = `my password'. If You Forget Your Password You Can't Use The Program, So If you do forget things write it down on some paper. How To Install LockupV3.6 *************************** Boot Form your hard drive. When You double click on the Workbench icon, if you DON`T see a drawer called WBStartup Then Do The Following: ----------------------------------------------------------- 1 - Open Shell 2 - Type 'copy df0:LockupV3.6/LockupV3.6 to C:' ( without speach marks ) 5 - Type 'copy df0:mmpp to c:' 6 - Type 'ed s:User-startup' When Ed Loads Add the following line to the user-startup 'C:LockupV3.6' Then press Esc the x and return to save the file. ----------------------------------------------------------- If you do see a drawer called WBStartup the Double Click On the install icon called 'Install_LockupV3.6'and it will do it all by it`s self. When you boot up your hard drive it should run LockupV3.6 by its self.
