It should work with AEGIS-Draw Plus as well. It enables you to - make very large printings ( for example 4*4 pages ) - print in 8 colors - use the highest printer-resolution ( up to 360*360 dpi ) available. This Public-Domain version works with the following printers and compatibles : - NEC Pinwriter ( P6,P7 .. ) - Star LC 24-10 ? - Star LC 10 and of course with their color versions. HOW TO USE CAD-PRINT ---------------------- I suggest for you to set the 3rd and 4th row of colors ( color 8-15 ) to the colors of your printer in the same order. If you use color 0-3, it will influence the window-display and borders ! When still in AEGIS-Draw, you need to ( in this order ) - pick the right plotter ( Plot24Pin or Plot8Pin ) - set the format to your needs. If you want to print with the "decimal" option, use 25.4 for scale ( since 1 inch = 25.4 mm ). - set the window display to your needs ( AEGIS Draw will only save what is on the display ). - select "save as plot" from the menu - Answer "plot to scale ?" with yes. - Select the file you want the plot-data to go. - Wait until AEGIS-Draw is finished. - You can quit AEGIS-Draw now, if you want to. - Run CAD-Print ( Workbench or CLI ) - Set options - When "Max Memory" is off, the program will only take some memory for calulation, otherwise as much as possible ( leaving a small amount ). The more memory the program gets, the faster it will be ! - "24 Pin" is on for 24-pinwriter. - "High Density" will print 360*360dpi on 24-pins, otherwise 180*180 dpi. When using 8-pinwriter , this option will be ignored. - "Color" ... - "Decimal" will take the values on the right as multiples of cm, else as multiples of inches. - Set the paper size ( printer dependent ). - Set the total size ( must be the same as the size you gave the plot in the Draw-Menu "FORMAT" - Select your file with the file-requester - Click Ok to start printing, Cancel to quit. When you want to cancel while already printing, you only have to click somewhere in the window ! So long ! If you want further information, get yourself the commercial version. By the way, I thank PC-Shop 64 Kaiserslautern and Mr. Schneider / Kaurisch Kaiserslautern for their help on printer commands and a Star LC-10 Colour.
