S5 P1 EP ¤3¥2ROXETTE:¥1 Tourism (EMI)¤1 Released: Aug 1992 Overall rating: ¤383.7%¤1 ¤2(only songs that haven't been on any album before is counted.)¤1 Number of songs: 16 (12) Best among the new songs: ¤5Here Comes The W. 93% ¤5Queen Of Rain 90% ¤5The Heart Sh. S. 90%¤1 Singles released: ¤5How Do You Do!¤1 (so far) ¤5Queen Of Rain¤1 This is Roxette's fourth album including songs from studios, hotel rooms and other strange places. ¤6It has the same high quality as the ð previous ones and Per Gessle really shows us what a genius he really is!¤1 I mean; what do you do on your touring sparetime? Sleep? Party? Sightseeing? Yes, but while doing these things Gessle also writes songs, good songs. I can't understand where he gets all the inspiration from. The album contains some old hits, but also nine completely new songs. ¤2Track number 3, 12, 14 and 15 have appeared on previous released albums.¤5 1. How Do You Do! 3:09 88%¤1 Recorded in Halmstad and Stockholm, Sweden. It's a very happy song and it sounds a lot like Roxette ¤2(really? - Ed.)¤1! This was the first single from the album. That was a natural choice, not because it's best, but because it's Ð powerful and has a sort of pulling effect. ¤52. Fingertips 3:33 85%¤1 A very nice and soft song recorded at a studio in Rio de Janeiro. The whole song is like vague dream and it is easy to fall asleep while listening to it. Mmmm... I'm feeling kind of sleepy. Zzzz... ¤53. The Look 5:32 83%¤1 This single was their international break through. This version is from their concert in Sydney. A quite good version, though it doesn't differ much from the original version. The audience is quite active in the end. ð ¤54. The Heart Shaped Sea 4:32 90%¤1 Recorded at studios in Los Angeles and Stockholm. Another very calm and very good song. Quite romantic too. ¤4The perfect song to have in the background when you're making out on the sofa with your new found love.¤1 The ingredients are: Three acoustic guitars, a mandolin, a soft bass, a pedal steel guitar and some keyboards and percussion. ¤55. The Rain 4:49 75%¤1 Another completely new song. Perhaps not as happy as the others, but almost just as good. Not much to say. Listen and get wet! Recorded in Stocholm. Ð ¤56. Keep Me Waiting 3:10 82%¤1 A quick and quite happy new song. The keyboards are great. This one was also recorded at EMI Studios in Stockholm. ¤57. It Must Have Been Love 7:05 80%¤1 The smash hit from the Pretty Woman Soundtrack. This version is actually two versions mixed together. The first one was recorded live in Santiago, Chile together with 45,000 wild Chilean fans. The second version was recorded at studios in Los Angeles and Stockholm. It's very beautiful, but in my opinion the original version is better. ð ¤58. Cinnamon Street 5:00 82%¤1 A very good new song. Strange name, but who cares anyway. Recorded at studios in Stockholm and Copenhagen. ¤59. Never Is A Long Time 3:44 80%¤1 A real melting ballad that was written in a nightclub in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Perhaps a bit weak to become a real hit, but it's melting, so melting. ¤510. Silver Blue 4:06 87%¤1 This is actually an old song (from 1987), but for some reason it hasn't been released on any album before. I'm not sure of this, but I think this song was on the back of The Look single. It's exactly the kind of song you're Ð humming on at the beach! It's really good. ¤511. Here Comes The Weekend 4:10 93%¤1 This is my favourite song on this album. It has a very-easy-to-hum- melody and an almost perfect combination between Per and Marie's voices. It's recorded in a hotelroom in Buenos Aires, Argentina! ¤512. So Far Away 4:02 80%¤1 This song is taken from Roxette's first album, Pearls Of Passion. However, this version is, just like Here Comes The Weekend, recorded in a hotelroom in Buenos Aires. A soft and very nice song. ð ¤513. Come Back 4:31 72% (Before You Leave)¤1 This an old song, but not as well known as the others. It's a quite standard Roxette song. Fast enough. Happy enough. Good enough. ¤514. Things Will Never 3:12 88% Be The Same¤1 This one is taken from the Joyride album. A very good and melting duet. This is a live version recorded in Zurich, Switzerland. ¤515. Joyride 4:47 92%¤1 From the Joyride album ¤2(oh, you gotta be kidding - Ed.)¤1. This is also a live version, from their concert in Sydney, December '91. A very quick song with a nice name Ð that really makes you happy! ¤516. Queen Of Rain 4:50 90%¤1 The second single. A very warm and humid song. If ¤2Never Is A Long Time¤1 is a melting ballad, then ¤2Queen Of Rain¤1 is even more melting. This is the perfect last song on every discotheque Recorded in Stockholm. Ð
