   A NEW CATEGORY!?¥1¤1


During  the last years a  new category 
has grown  up; the ascii-gfx! Nowadays
this  topic  has got a  kind of  scene
status,  so  from  now  on  there will
maybe  be  four different competitions 
on  the  parties  - demo,  music,  gfx 
and ¤5ascii-gfx¤1!
  One thing  that the  outsiders maybe 
think is that there are only a certain
amount  of  chars on your keyboard and 
therefore all  the  ascii  logos,  etc 
nearly look  the same.  But  that it's 
not  true at all! There are a group of
artists who  make marvellous ascii-gfx
and  they  are  quite respected in the 
modemscene.  Many  sysops   use  their 
producitons   in   the   boards,  many 
traders use their logos  in the  file-

descriptions, etc, etc...  ¤9Despite  of
the fact that there are  so few chars,
you can create  wonderful creations by
using your imagination and talent!¤1
 
Since  there have  been quite  alot of 
ascii-gfx    compilations     released 
lately,  ¤4JOYRIDE¤1 will present an ascii 
graphician  to   you  in  every  issue
(starting in the next issue) and maybe
do a little chart too.
