±11Alive  is  a  movie  based  on a true
story.   The story takes place in the
Andes-Mountains,  close  to  Chile in
South-America.

A  rugby-team  from Peru are on their
way  to  Chile.   Suddenly  the plane
crashes   into  the  mountains.   The
surviviours  have  to live 72 days of
pure  hell  before  they are rescued.
To  survive the impossible, they have
to  do  the unthinkable.  - They have
to  eat  the  flesh  from  their dead
friends.  While the movie is somewhat
melo-dramatic,  it also contains some
fascinating     action-scenes.     My
favourite scene is when the aeroplane
crashes in the mountains.  - The tale
of  the  plane is torn completely off
and some of the passangers are thrown
into  the  air.  This (blue-screened)
effect   lookes   quite   impressing!
Further  on,  the  wings of the plane
are   torn   of,  leaving  the  plane
looking like a tube.  A couple of the
passengers   are   killed  instantly.
Only   16   passengers   live  to  be
rescued.   29  people  died  in  this
tragedy.

±12This   movie   is   definately  worth
spending  a little time and money on.
Even   though  the  producer  doesn't
succed  in showing us what the people
felt  inside,  it's  a  nice piece of
work  which  you'll remember.  It has
it's  moments,  but sometimes you get
this    "hollywood"   feeling   while
watching.  I mean that the whole plot
looks   a  bit  fake.   Call  it  bad
producing, bad actors or whatever.ç
