±12 Guns'N'Roses concert review ±13------------------------------------- ±12by Dolphin ±13 "GET IN THE RING MOTHERF**KER" ±11The concert was held in Oslo, Norway June 10th, 1993. A really terrible intro-band warmed up the audience from about 13:00. It was a group called "Sister Rain". After this disappointment yet another group entered the stage at about 16:00. It was Suicidal Tendences, which I didn't like at all. Gn'R were supposed to enter the stage at approx. 19:00, but they didn't untill 20:15. As always they started with the great tune called "Outta Get Me". Later on they played through most of their wellknown tunes. I can mention some of them: Welcome To The Jungle, Mr.Brownstone, Live And Let Die, Bad Obsession, Double Talkin' Jive, Sweet Child O'Mine, It's So Easy, Yesterdays, Knockin' On Heaven's Door, You Could Be Mine, So Fine, I Used To Love Her etc. The only songs I really missed was Civil War, Locomotive and Don't Cry! Slash played a really great guitarsolo on his Gibson-el.guitar. It lasted for nearly 10 minutes and was absolutely great! For me, one of the highlights was when Matt Sorum played a really powerful drumsolo. Because his forefathers came from Norway he had attached a pair of norwegian flags on the drums. When he was finnished he threw the drumsticks to the wild audience. In the middle of the concert they swapped from el. equipment to pure aqoustic-sound. It was great, they played many tunes which orginally is el.played. While they played aqoustic they sat on an old sofa. Suddenly a pizza-delivery man served them pizza! When Axl Rose had some brakes, he played flipper on each side of the stage! Another highlight was when they played Duff McKagan's "Attitude", a punksong. The only disappointment at this concert was the poor introduction bands and the fact that the concert only lasted for about 2 hours! I know that Gn'R will play a lot of other places in Europe this summer, and I can only say: Attend this great concert, it's worth it...ç
