±12    Are there too many diskmags?

±11Do  you  really  think  there are too
many   diskmagazines   in  the  scene
today?  I must say that I don't think
so.   Just  think  about all the mags
who have quit:±12  Zine, D.I.S.C, I.C.E,
Reader's     Dream,     Magbox    and
Free'n'Easy. ±11  And  we have even more
if  we  concider the diskmagazines we
haven't  seen  for a long, long time:
±13McDisk,  Nordic  Report,  Stolen Data
and  Eternal.±11   For all we know, they
could  be  dead as well.  I know that
all  the  mentioned  diskmags weren't
exactly  quality  mags, but they were
mags     nevertheless,    and    they
represented   the  wide  specter  the
scene  should have.  If there were no
diskmagazines  at  all,  I  think the
scene  would  have been quite boring,
maybe even non excisting.

And what have all these dead diskmags
been    replaced   with?    Packmags,
packseries with advertisment-sections
and     generally     low     quality
productions,  because  there  is much
less  work  to  be  done in releasing
these.   I  think the scene should be
grateful  that there are any diskmags
at  all, and they should continue, or
begin to support them if they want to
keep diskmagazines.

I  have to say that there have been a
couple  of  diskmags borned lately as
well.  I can mention some: ±12 Megazine,
Propaganda, ±13 Headline,±12  Playbyte. ±11  I
find this development interesting and
I'm  thrilled about it!  Don't forget
that  the  scene  needs diskmags, not
just   Eurocharts,   Worldcharts  and
nazi-propaganda-Packmags.

I  don't  get all the diskmags in the
scene  regularly,  but  I'd  love  to
review  new  diskmags, so if you like
you  can  send your latest issue of a
diskmag to me and I'll review it here
