LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE!

Welcome.  A lot of people seem to have enjoyed my last Klingon font, Klinzhai,
and what with the new Star Trek movie opening today, and the great many
Klingons that are in it, I thought I'd put together another one for you. I hope
you like it.  I call it Klingo, and it's my conceptualization of how Klingons
might write graffiti if the Klingon homeworld was plagued by gangs of youths
with spray cans.  It's silly, but it might appeal to some of you. I've tried to
anticipate most of the questions you might have, please take a few minutes to
read through the rest of this document.  It is divided up into four chapters.
You're about finished with Chapter1 right now. When you've finished reading this
document, by all me ans, try out the font.  If you've got comments, criticisms,
ideas, or suggestions, I'd certainly like to hear them, so send me a card or
letter.  I'm always delighted to hear from the people using my fonts.  You can

dedicated to Timothy Artus, my way of thanking him for the very nice letter he

Introduction
Basically, there are three files that come with this font. The first one is the
documentation file; that's where you are now.  This file contains details of the
font, as well as the payment request.  If you pass this font on to anyone else
(and I hope you do!) please be sure to include this information file along with
the font files.

If you've used custom-made laser fonts before you can probably tell what this
is.  The icon of the printer (underneath the brain and pen) should give it away.
That's right, it's the outline file and it contains the information your laser
printer will need.  Drop it in your system file or download it to your printer
and you'll be fine.

Please note that this version of Klingo is in  Type 1 format, and as such will
be completely compatible with Adobe Type Manager (a truly excellent product!)
Now I'm quite sure you recognize the little suitcase.  This (or similar
application), just like you'd load up any other font. What You Get Feel free to
pass this font around to your friends. I ask that you include all three files
when you do so, and it wouldn't hurt for you to encourage them to send in the
fee described below.  User groups, Bulletin Boards, and other online services
are granted permission to distribute this font, so long as they do not charge
for it beyond the cost of media or connect time (as applicable).  Software
services such as EduCorp and The-Disk-of-the-Month Club are prohibited from
distributing this font unless they receive written permission from me first.
Finally, since no good deed goes unpunished, it would be helpful if you
remembered that this was font is shareware.  I made this font for the fun of it,
and I certainly don't plan and retiring on the money I make from it, but please,
it is a Klingon font, so do the honoroable thing and send in your shareware
payment.  If the font is for your personal use please send me five dollars.  If
you use this font as part of a commercial venture (e.g., printing Klingonaase
slogans on T-shirts on conventions) then you've found a way to make money off of
it and should share the wealth, so send me thirty dollars.  If you like, you can
print out the shareware form provided in the next chapter, or, if you prefer,
just send a cheque to the address below.
