*************************************************************************** PcRestore Historyfile *************************************************************************** Version 2.33 Some memoryallocation problems is fixed. Now it exits from workbench without leaving something behind (I think). Added a CLI option for publicscreen. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 2.32 Added a Auto Rename/Manual Rename function when restoring data. Idea by Ludwig Kamphenkel. Moved the gadgets around a little bit, just to make it harder for you to find 'em :-) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 2.31 Added hotkeys for every requester so now you can use only the keyboard to control PcRestore. PcRestore asked for the path if you wanted to quit and then changed your mind, but it wont do it again. The reason for that PcRestore never came in V2.30 was a little agreement to Mats Granstrom. I have a REAL fidonet adress from this moment, so use it if you want to send me bugreports (It's the fastest way! (You can send the money by letter)). Look at the aboutrequester for the adress. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 2.29 PcRestore caused an Enforcerhit if you didn't used the CLI-Option '-s'. That is fixed. Thanks to Ludwig Kamphenkel for the bugreport. Changed the way PcRestore mounted the devices. PcRestore no longer tries to mount already mounted devices (The 'Device Already Mounted' message on the CLI vanished). Idea by Ludwig Kamphenkel. Added a requester that ask YOU if you REALLY want to quit. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 2.28 Removed an little bug that causes 'PcRestore' to crash if it didn't find ReqTools.library Further optimizations of the code. PcRestore uses ReqTools.library V38+ now, just because it have some new nice features (I'll use more of 'em in future releases). --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 2.27 Removed the 'Automatic To Rootdir' in the path-requester just to satisfy Kenth Berthilsson. Changed to stringgadgets where the pathnames are so you can type them directly without having to pop up a requester first. / Idea & 177 Nags by Mats Granstrom & Kenth Berthilsson. Changed the 'Restore Log' box. Now you can look at all the files you have restored since PcRestore was started. / Idea by Kenth Berthilsson. Added a Clear Log gadget instead of the former PcRestore that just cleared it when the restoring was completed. Rearranged the gadgets a little bit, just for the fun & look. Optimized the code a little bit also. Removed an little bug in the '-s' option. In some cases PcRestore hangs up when deselect 'Ask to restore'. / Bug was found by Kenth Berthilsson --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 2.23 Fixed an bug the paths. If you entered a longer path than 16 chars then PcRestore chopped of the rest. Fixed. /Boogie was found by Mats Granstrom. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 2.22 Fixed a little bug that caused PcRestore to Abort when you was prompted to insert 'BACKUP.XXX' in 'XXX'. It doesn't appear elsewhere so I didn't find it. Thanks to Mats Granstrom for finding it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 2.21 Changed the 'Check destination file' a bit. Now you will be prompted if you want to Rename, Replace or Skip a file. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 2.20 From this version and forward I will enclose 2 different versions of PcRestore. 68000/030 version just for you speedfreaks out there. Added a 'Check destination file' option so you don't have to check if you already have the files etc. / Idea by Kenth Berthilsson. Added a historylog so you can see what files you have restored. / Idea by Kenth Berthilsson. Added some file info like filesize, disk # etc. / Idea by Mats Granstrom. Rewrote parts of the restore-routine. Now you can abort in the middle on a file instead of waiting until the file was restored. PcRestore uses a lot lesser memory now aprox. 10Kb for the restoring part + PcRestore itself. Fixed a bug in the restore-routine, somethimes PcRestore could report that you haven't enough memory. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 2.12 Fixed an annoying bug. Sometimes PcRestore hangs itself up when restoring a file, it wouldn't have caused any diskvalidating problems but still it was an very annoying thing. Added a RWP (Remember Window Position) thing. When you save your config it will also save the position of the PcRestore window and PcRestore will use it the next time. /Thanks to Mats Granstrom for the idea. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 2.10 Added a AutoMount gadget. When you activate this and save the configuration then PcRestore will attempt to mount the sourcedevices at startup. If you use 'AutoMount' then you MUST have the 'Mount' command on your disk (I made it that way cause if you get a newer 'Mount' command you simply put it on the disk instead of chasing around to find an upgrade to Pcrestore) this mode is very good if you doesn't mount 'CrossDos' or similary. Fixed a silly bug in the 'Preserve Pathnames' gadgets. It didn't always use this option when the option was enabled thru the configfile and PcRestore would give a shit about it when restoring a backup. The configurationfile has been changed a little bit so you have to reconfigure PcRestore. I shall try to avoid it further on. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 2.05 Added a '-s' command. If you type 'PcRestore -s' then PcRestore will automaticly start to restore a backup with the current config. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 2.0 First release that requires OS2.0 . Intuition version based on PCRestore V1.12 ***************************************************************************
