Quality Clip Art Maps


MapArt is a collection of clip art maps available in
Encapsulated PostScript format (EPS) and in PC Paintbrush
format (PCX).

MapArt was created for use with Adobe Illustrator, but
works equally well with COREL DRAW or other programs that
open and edit PostScript graphic files.  Note that COREL
DRAW and other programs translate PostScript code into their
own format, and do not require a PostScript printer to print
the maps.

The EPS format maps may also be imported (or 'Placed') into
page layout documents using PageMaker, Ventura Publisher, and
others, but it is not possible to modify the maps in these
environments.  Most users want to modify the map to show their
own data, and so they require a graphics application to make
the best use of the maps.

In EPS format each region is an independent object,
including country outlines, states/province outlines,
major city names, and water body names.
