Yak Version 1.3 Copyright 1992, 1993, Martin W. Scott Released January 1993 This version of Yak contains numerous enhancements/bug-fixes to the previous version (1.2c). Users of that or earlier versions should review the history in the main document (Yak.doc), then read the sections dealing with new/changed features. They should also run the Convert program to create a new 1.3 preferences file with their options. First-time users should at least scan the documentation, so they know what to expect, and what not to. French users have their own documentation, kindly translated by Gaël Marziou. There is as yet no French version of Yak. The next release will hopefully support locales; if you would like Yak localised in your language (French excepted - Gaël will be doing that), AND you can be reached by email (so I don't have to wait a month for a translation when I change something), get in touch with me. The most important changes in this version are: - Yak is now overlayed; binary is larger, but Yak uses less memory. - Can turn on/off certain features on screens/windows, to keep Yak compatible with other programs. - AutoPopToFront feature. - AutoActivate and ClickToFront/Back routines cleaned up, removing all known problems. - Mouse-blanking is now much more system friendly (only mouse-sprite is turned off). - PopCommand now retains system path. - Preferences file-format changed. If upgrading, run Convert. If you have any problems, get in touch (addresses in main documentation). -Martin
