I use an interlaced workbench, and I was getting tired of using icons
that always looked "squished" so I set out to draw up some icons of my
own.  These icons have been designed to work with the new workbench 2.0
color scheme - but they were designed under work bench 1.3, so you can
use them there, too.  All the tool and disk icons use a 3d "button"
look, which will also look "pushed in" when you click on them.  The
drawer icons are designed to lock together into "bureaus" which I think
gives the workbench a cleaner look.  For this reason, there are three
versions of each of the drawer icons - one for the left end of a bureau,
one for the right end and one for the middle.  If you look at the
"Disks" "Icons" and "Drawers" icons on this disk you can see how to
use them.

I have tried hard to make the icons as easy to use as possible.
For the tool and drawer icons, all you have to do is copy them to the
disk where you want to use them and rename them as you like.  But
the Disk icons are a bit different, since disk type icons are normally
invisible in workbench drawers.  To remedy this, the icons you see in
the Disks directory are actually of type Project.  To use one of them,
open a cli and cd to the Disks directory.  If you do a dir, you will
see that each icon has an associated data file. (i.e. dh0.1.info has a
dh0.1 file)  These files are the icons in disk type format.  To use
them, copy the desired data file to the disk you want to change and
rename the file to "disk.info" - Note that you may have to reboot
your computer to see the new icon, because workbench will not notice
the new icon.  If you are copying the file to a floppy disk other than
your boot disk, you can eject the disk and re-insert it.  This should
cause the icon to change.

The icons were drawn using DPaint 3 and a pd brush to icon utility.
