=============
SETTING UP
=============

Format a disk and name it MKS-1
Make a directory on that disk called MUSIC
copy the following files to MKS-1:

MidiPlay
MidiPlay.info
Disk.info
LinerNotes
PlayList

copy the following files to MKS-1:MUSIC/

Magnetic_Rag
Elite_Syncopations
Pineapple_Rag
Wall_St._Rag

copy "playmf" to the c directory on your system disk or hard drive
copy "mdrt.library" to the libs directory on your system disk or hard drive
you must also have ARP.library version 1.3 or later in your libs directory.

The file called LinerNotes is the documentation for MidiPlay. You may view
it as a regular text file, or by clicking on the "NOTES" gadget on the main
screen of MidiPlay. It is highly recommended that you NOT fool with anything
else with MidiPlay until you have read the docs. It is fairly painless and
simple.

After you have finished reading the LinerNotes you may then edit it to
include notes on your music files.

====================
IMPORTANT
===================

MidiPlay 1.0 does not support MIDI file names longer than 18 characters
Version 2.0 will not have this limitation.
