ReplaceGadgets by Sebastiano Vigna Don't you really hate those nasty system gadgets? How could they (the Amiga programming team) do this to us? It's really time to make a change (waiting for 1.4...)! ReplaceGadgets changes the system gadgets of your Amiga. Every window or screen in the system will be updated, and the programs called subsequently will use the new shapes. Beware of the fact that SIMPLE_REFRESH windows will get updated with a move, SMART_REFRESH windows with a size, and SUPER_BITMAP windows (or SMART_REFRESH windows without sizing features) will never get updated. ReplaceGadgets it's called with no argument and it's completely transparent to the system. You can copy it, spread it, include it in commercial packages as a "bonus" at no fee, but you cannot sell it. This brief note should always stay together with the program. And now, wipe'em out! P.S. The only known "bug" is that 1-bitplane screen UPFRONT and DOWNBACK gadgets look the same. Presently I don't know how to fix it, but I'll try. New Features Found in V1.1 The close gadget has now a larger activation area. This will make easier to close windows and screens with a mouse accelerator such as DMouse (a great program by Matt Dillon!). The program itself is also smaller and faster, due to a little re-programming and to the Great New Lattice C 5.0 Compiler - featuring the Global Optimizer!! Thanks to John Toebes... New Features Found in V1.2 When you want speed, nothing like LM. The routine that searches for the Workbench arrows now has been coded with the Lattice Assembler (V5.02) and it's as fast as light (usually, less than a second). Also little housekeeping and recompiling under Lattice 5.02 has been done. New Features Found in V1.21 Cleaned up, added source & -dNOBAR option, recompiled again with 5.04.
