Connect-4 - A Simulation of the game by Milton Bradley Mitchell/Ware Version 1.00 (c) March 3, 1988 421 Spruce Manor Bellmawr, NJ 08031 (609) 933-3802 5pm-7pm mon-fri This Game has been released into the Public Domain. Source Code has been provided for the sake of demostrating the use of multi- tasking and double-buffering. There are specialized calls to my proprietary library, so you won't be able to compile or link it. The library may be made available in the future, but that's not definite. So don't hold your breath. All of the graphics seen in Connect-4 are loaded from IFF brushes. Therefore, you may substitue your own brushes as long as the color palette is consistent (the only one allowed to be different is the title page) and they should be 5 bit-planes. Unfortunately, there are a few bugs in Connect-4 that I didn't have time to iron out. I'm sure they will find you sooner or later. If I get a lot of response, I will allocate more time to the game. I needn't mention what type of a response is necessary to elicit the response (tee-hee). So enjoy the game, enjoy changing the graphics, but when you distribute, do so in the original form. Thank you. -Fred (Paul Atreides) Mitchell. Note to Would-be programmers: If you need help with a certain aspect of harnessing the power of the AMIGA, I may be able to help you. Please feel free to call and pick my brains. Note to would-be Hackers: I permit you to change the graphics, but not the code. In any event, This code MUST be in its original form when you upload, complete with all the files. Otherwise, your brains will fall out, you WILL go to sleep at night, and you will loose your love for your computer and become just another ordinary human being. Note to MB: This game has been released in the good spirits of the free software paradigm. No profits are being collected on this product. If anything, it's free advertising for you. However, if you still have a problem with this, then contact me and we'll discuss it.
