Comments on Loan1.4 (April, 21, 1989) 1- The PERIODS value represents biweekly payment (every other week). You need to enter in the number of PAYMENTS if this is selected. 2- The data in the output window may be scrolled forward and backward by holding down the left mouse button on that window. Anywhere above the line in the middle scrolls up, below it scrolls down. The farther above or below the line you click the faster the text scrolls. When you get to the top or bottom the screen will flash. 3- The scrolling text in the output window grabs memory on-the-fly. If you list something huge (like 3000 weeks) you may find that you can't scroll. This is because you don't have enough memory. The Workbench title bar will display: "ERROR: Freeing Memory - Please Wait" While the program is freeing memory it has already grabbed. In the test that I ran this takes about 40 seconds for 3000 weeks. When the data continues to display in the window the following message will be displayed in the title bar: "ERROR: Out Of Memory - Scroll Off" Since there wasn't enough memory and the program dumped what it did have there's nothing left to scroll. Everything resets when you click the OUTPUT gadget again. 4- Since the program frees memory between each time you click OUTPUT there may be a slight delay before the new data appears. This depends on how many lines were displayed previously. 5- This is my first attempt at intuition windows. I can only get better. Things to work on: 1 - The scrolling speed does not always match the distance from the line like I want it to. Flames: A.MARONEY (GEnie mail) or Allen Maroney 2009-66 Ave. S.
