*** LACER ***


LACER is  a pattern generator/overlay-editor utility. It can be used to

generate over 3000 different "lacy patterns" in any of 32 colors on the

background color of your choice. After the pattern is generated, both

the foreground and the background colors may be cycled and stopped at

will keeping the current color.  The patterns may be saved and loaded

in IFF format and may be loaded into other IFF utilities such as DPaint

and modified in color and shading for some really dramatic effects.

Patterns and IFF pictures may be overlaid on one another using LACER's

overlay features. To overlay a picture or pattern file use File Load.

to overlay a new pattern onto an existing one use New Pattern. The color

palette for the overlaid file is not loaded, rather the current palette

is used and the Pen 0 color is treated as transparent. This gives some 

interesting effects.

Put LACER on a disk along with "header.iff" and relabel the disk "Lacer".
