  The included source, README, NEWS, and other associated files were
  downloaded directly from the archives at ftp.ai.mit.edu and are
  being re-distributed here in their entirety.  

     They were not modified in any way except:

     1. Configure was run on an A2000 with a plain vanilla 60000
        and no FPU.

     2. The executables were built from the resulting makefile.
        The compiler used was GCC 2.6.3
     
     3. The editor is still pointed at 'vi' but can be overidden
        with an environment variable .

     4. less.hlp moved to s: to be more consistant with
        normal Amiga conventions.

     5. The man pages were processed through CleanUp to strip the 
        ANSI screen codes.
