KillOldIcon may be freely distributed as long as no charge is made other
than to cover time and copying costs.  If it is to be distributed via
floppy disk, this cost should be no higher than $3.00 (three) dollars US.
If distribution is via CDRom, the total cost should be no more than Fred
Fish charged from one of his CDRom collections.

You may not copy and/or distribute this program without the accompanying
documentation unless you get permission from the author to do so.

Fred Fish and Walnut Creek have my permission to include this program on
their CDRom collections.  Nicola Salmoria has my permission to include this
program with his NewIcon collection.

Finally if you wish to include KillOldIcon on a disk magazine you are

you to just send me a copy of the issue which contains KillOldIcon free of

Introduction
============

KillOldIcon will replace the standard Workbench image of NewIcons, with the
pixel image provided in the NewIcon package.  The advantage of this is that
if will allways have NewIcons installed, the icons will take up less space
on your drives.

KillOldIcon does not require that you disable the NewIcon patch first.
KillOldIcon will examine the icons passed to it.  If it contains a NewIcon
image, the oldicon image will be replaced, however if the icon does not
contain a NewIcon image it will be left alone.

Installation
============

1) Put KillOldIcon where ever you want
2) Make sure you have the required libraries installed.

Usage
=====

From CLI:
   KillOldIcon icon1 [icon2...]

From Workbench:
   click on KillOldIcon
   shift-click the icons you want to remove the NewIcon from
   shift-double click the last icon

You can also add this command to the Tools menu using ToolManager or
ToolsPrefs.
