04-Feb-95 Hi, this is just a very minor update to FetchRefs 1.1 and you need the original distribution to get much out of this. This can be found on Aminet as /pub/aminet/dev/misc/FetchRefs11.lha (~115 KB). To update FetchRefs and GenerateIndex you must you the supplied Patcher program (© 1994 Martin Mares, MJSoft System Software). The syntax is as follows: Patcher So to update FetchRefs 1.1 to version 1.1a you would do: 1> Patcher FetchRefs FetchRefs11a FetchRefs11a.pch 1> Delete FetchRefs 1> Rename FetchRefs11a as FetchRefs Same procedure for GenerateIndex. I am sorry that I have not provided an Installer script for this and hope you feel comfortable with your Shell. The changes are: FetchRefs - the window that pops up when several matching references are found is now a Triton window. This makes it a bit more sensitive (scroller) and adds keyboard support. If Triton is not found, the old window will open. The Triton window is still in the test phase; if you do not like this, please do not apply the patch. GenerateIndex - a nasty bug had found its way into the scanner for E includes. Specifically, the CONST scanner was halfway broken. Hopefully it works a bit better now. Thanks to Leon Woestenberg for reporting this bug. GoFetchRefs.edge - this is a completely new ARexx script for the Edge editor. It is made by Jon Rocatis (thanks) and is untested by me - I do not have Edge - but it must be better than nothing. I will be moving in a few days time. My new address is as follows: Anders Melchiorsen Kirkebyen 5 7950 Erslev I am not yet certain what my phone number and FidoNet address will be. My e-mail address remains the old one: and@scala.ping.dk Finally, I am sorry to say that I currently do not have much time. Therefore I cannot allow myself to develop FetchRefs much further right now. However, I am still supporting it in every way I can, so keep mailing me suggestions! -And
