FUNCTION
  The function will calculate have many spaces that need to be outputted to match
the next tab location.

  It will be trigged by the tab key, when the constructed setting 'tab_space'
is on.

  When 'tab_space' is on, SHIFT-TAB will backspace to the previous tab
location, deleting characters.
