                A Game of Galactic Colonization
     This demonstration version of Spheres of Influence will only
allow forty turns of play. The game requires at least 1 meg
of CHIP RAM and AmigaDOS 2.0 or higher. The compressed file
SofI.LHA contains many files needed for the game.
 
When you decompress the SofI.LHA file a drawer will be created 
called SOIDATA (uncompressed, it would almost fill two standard 
floppy disks--a hard drive is required.) Inside this drawer is 
an ASSIGN icon labeled "double click me". The program will need 
to be able to find this drawer; double clicking on the ASSIGN icon 
will allow this (until you reboot), or use the AmigaDOS CLI command 
"Assign" on the drawer--for instance:
          Assign SOIDATA: your_harddrive:soidata
You may add this assignment to your s:user-startup file for 
convenience. The executable is a file called "Spheres of Influence". 
If started from the CLI insure that the stack is at least 50000, 
the game has an icon and may be started from the Workbench. 
Saved games have an icon which may be double-clicked or shift 
selected from the Workbench. The documentation is a file 
called SOIDATA:doc.txt. It is an ASCII text file which you may read 
using any text editor or word processor (it has carriage returns 
only at the end of paragraphs); it may be printed out if you wish. 
The documentation is written for the commercial two disk version, 
not this compressed demo version; please get help at your local 
user's group if you have trouble getting this version to run on 
your system.

     This demonstration version is complete but will not allow
the game to continue after turn forty. All game features are
functional and intact. I am looking for a publisher for this game.
