Users has discovered how it is possible to obtain each kind of information, in real time, at a simple phone call cost (when necessary). Each firm by now has its HTML pages where publicizes its own products and establishes a direct thread with the costumers. The word "NetSurfer" has been created, indicating who likes travelling with the help of a browser between the thousands of WWW existing pages on the net. Sometimes, however, it could happen that it is necessary to find out a single page, an image or a file; so, surfing through the net with a browser seems to become harder and slower. In these situations GetHTTP becomes an indispensable friend! Any example? · Using a predisposed script, it is possible to download the last world news page from the net, convert it in ASCII format and visualize it with a normal Text Viewer. · BBS SysOps could have on line the pages with the timetable of the trains, airplanes, undergrounds, always up-to-date. · With the help of a script, it is possible to teach our mailer to download a file announced in a message, directly from its support site. · Equally, the tonight television programs list could be had. Only the imagination could limit the use of this program, chiefly useful for Sysops that want to supply their users always up-to-date news.
