MOP - The party animal MOP - The party animal By Lord Helmet/Spaceballs and Zerox/Gods Who in the scene cover every party event with such a passion and depth that other reports seem like summaries? Who in the scene writes about all the latest top productions? Who in the scene write about all the latest changes in the top groups? CAN IT BE MOP? (We were tempted to say Astro, but that would ruin the article) We ask ourselves: How is it possible that a MOP from MALTA can be a party animal, a main editor and a demo viewer at the same time ? Read on! Party Animal Does MOP go drunk on parties? Do other people like him? What do other main editors think of him as a person? Does Mop like Danish beer? These were questions we wanted to ask MOP, ROMs party reporter nr.1. We got shocked by the facts! According to Mop the biggest PARTY he ever has been on was held the summer of 95 when he invited some friends to his house. 4 personswere present, and of these 1 girl (delaQUEEN).. Mop says to us that "The party gave me lot of motivation to keep up ROM..The pizza was great. The partyplace was 24 square meters, enough room and power for everyone. Great party!" Some of you may laugh of this. But do not! To gather four persons in Malta is harder than to gather 2500 in Denmark. So Mop be proud! But haven't we every year read in ROM that this years party will be great, and he will be present. Mop has analyzed which groups who will win etc etc. Every year we are looking for him, but NO... Mop cancelled the trip two days ago. Some of you may laugh of this too.But do not! When you live closer to Zaire than the partyplace you know that it will cost you a lot... and main editors are good to not keep a promise (you are not talking about me are you? - Astro) (No, I am talking in general terms - Lord Hjelm) (and by the way where are my money? - Astro) (We have to wait until RAW beat Mop - Lord Hjelm) (But thats your job - Astro) (Yes and I am not finished yet! - Lord Hjelm) So keep telling in 360 days that you will go to the party and cancel the trip two days before is a nice PR-gimmick! (PR= Party retirement!) Despite this Mop writes party reports. He writes how he feels about the food, the place, the people, etc etc. He can write 20 pages without being on the party. Just by looking at other reports, results and by talking to a couple of people. It's like a sport reporter writing about the World Cup final without seeing the game! It's like CNN reporting from Iraq just by reading the news reports from Reuter. .. and it's just like telling what you think about a movie without seeing it. (Find more horrible examples by yourselves) Is MOP a party Animal? YES, to write all those XXX party reports he must have experienced the party feelings inside himself, and that is a great achievement. Demo viewer As Mop doesn't have equipment to see the latest demo, he hasn't seen a good demo for years. In his country there aren't lot of sceners so he hasn't seen the demos on parties or at friends. We don't think MOP is interested in demos at all! He doesn't care about coders, graphicians or musicians. He just cares about news, fame and selling his mag. Main editors would without hesitation look at a new chart, or a new good mag FIVE times before they "maybe" load a new demo. Maybe in 1989-1990 people were interested in this stuff. In these times there were demo-reviews. Today no demo-reviews because of NO interest in current demos. Does Mop know much about demos today? No. He hasn't seen a good one for 800 days! ...and will probably not see one the next 800 days either (well, maybe he upgrades his machine). Main Editor Yes, despite all this MOP has managed to scramble together a mag, ROM. And the mag is one of the most popular mags in scene. Its amazing! Summary Parties attended last 10 years : 0 Good Demos looked through last year : 0 Sceners present in his country : 1 Distance from Denmark: 1499000 km Numbers of fillers written: 200 Main Editor : YES! Number of fake quotes : Unknown at this time! Does Mop write the truth? : Its up to you to decide! LH: Do you think we will get banned, and no one will use articles from us after this one? LH: I hope these articles will get me back to nr.1 position in the editor charts.. You just want to be on the charts? Zerox: You son of a b..... DISC is on the charts and will always be there without releases. It will be harder IF we decide to release it. As for scars... I have always been a nice person, but lately I got some pscycologicial scars after the RokDaZone articles. When it comes to you and RAW - now we are talking about hurting people and obesseion for charts!!! LH: Charts is important.. But its not nice to pretend to be alive then you are stonedead. ..and if you hurt you get hurt... I can stand it! Zerox: That's perhaps true... but I get hurt without hurting too.Stone dead? At least the DISC Team is still alive and I have an AMIGA, what about YOU PC-freak?!? LH: What do you call a mag without code, graphics, articles and just a name. Zerox: STONE DEAD! But what has that got to do with DISC? LH: nothing at all. I recommend DISC TO BE THE BEST (Why do we keep talking about a dead discmag) Zerox: I'm not talking about any DEAD diskmag. I'm just wondering: how can it be that RAW has been the nr.1 mag with a worse code than our packs? At least our packmag has got cliparts and search-function from the start! RAW 1991-1996: No, cliparts and nothing else. First now you begin to get something... LH: GODS got SOOO bad editors that they would need the best coder in the world just to make an average mag. Today its not average. RAW is on the top because we got the best editors and support, and a CODER who is willing to do something, and not code one issue, and not do anything more. Zerox: Yes, the tabloid press have always been popular. In DISC we at least write the truth! LH: DISC - DEAD AND LOVING IT! No releases no articles! No lies and no truth!
