Niels Goossens (22) , alias Cybersonik. Anno domini 1996 he is still officially
imprisoned in the dark dungeons of Alcatraz. "Somebody sended me a postcard
saying that I was still in Alcatraz, but there wasn't any adress on it" Our
Dutch friends explains.

 In the scene he an 'oldstar' when it comes to editing. One of the oldest
writers still around in the business. Outside the scene he is a thirth year
student in culture science at the university of the beautiful city Maastricht
situated in the South of Holland. "A city with a 'Boergondish' way of life, the
city of the real beer, and with the big absence of amiga's! In short: Paradise"
Cybersonik adds.

 In his glancy amiga carreer, Cybersonik wrote for different magazines, his
curiculem vitea features amongst others oldies like Freedom Crack, Ice,
Hack-mag, Royal Info, Raw and Stolen Data. Though, since our cyber hero more or
less retired, his colleques from earlier times can't neglect this fact!
"Cybersonik has always been one of the more active editors in the old days. He
and me both filled Stolen Data issue 8 to 10 to huge parts. Yet, when looking
back, I have to say that his impact on the diskmag scene was steared due
quantity" RokDaZone of Artwork comments.

 I'LL BE BACK !!

 After almost two years of retirement, Cybersonik made a reapperance in the last
Raw issue. Maybe the most unexpected come-back, in a time when 'making a
comeback' becomes fashionable for more and more veterans nowdays. "You see, I
missed the scene a little bit, the whole parade around it, and maybe Mount of
Polka Brothers had something to do with it also." Cybersonik secretly
adds."Another explanation is, that I got very much interested in everything that
has to do with the internet, and I got some amiga stuff again because of that"

 In Cybersonik's more active days, he has been a member of the Dutch pride Royal
Amiga Force, to join up with Cult and Anarchy later on. All of this before
ending up in Alcatraz, the high security prison, without any escape
possibility's. And upto this day, Cybersonik is still doing some hard time.

 "Are you the same Cybersonik now, as you were than?"

 - "Well, in the old days I was really adorable, but these days  I am quite
boring actually."

 "But you must have any goals, why else should you make a comeback?"

 - "I don't have any goals anymore, exept to have some fun. Fame and Glory are
really boring now, I guess.."

 FROM THE OLD GENERATION

 Cybersonik descends from that old generation of sceners from which only few are
still active somehow today. Mount, Facet, Rokdazone are the better examples of
this. And everybody knows that when you reach your twenty's you have to focus on
alot more than the scene. So, how does Cybersonik think about this? "I am
getting older, and I am eight years in the scene now, including my little break,
and when you are getting older you don't think computing is satisfactionary the
whole day long, you get other needs who are very important, and take most of
your time!"

 Personally I think he is quite right actually! who wants to spend the whole day
behind a screen? Nobody! That's right. "I also have some other hobby's aswell"
Cybersonik says. "I like everything concerning the internet, and I also like
drinking beer! Collecting beer is also one of my favorite hobby's! I already
have over 400 different species. My favorite one is 'La Chouffe' it's a Belgium
beer with 8.5 percent alcohol, and it comes in bottles of 3/4 of a litre"

 Being an article writer, you need to have that 'I don't care as always'
attitude. Because not everything you write can fall good by other sceners.Though
with Cybersonik this is totally the opposite! "I never could take criticism and
I never will. I am really a pain in the ass on that territory!"

 TO THE LIMIT, TO THE TOP

 Leaving our Hero on his way to the real world is not that easy. Though he
assured RAW that he will keep on writing articles in the future! Any last words
or greetings?

 "Well.. I want to give my big greetings to Mount of Polka Brothers, and I want
to ask him if he please can write longer letters than one side of an a4 paper!
Hmm, also my regards to Hornet of Alcatraz, please write me sometimes, when you
are not that busy!"
