Import Packet
Loads the FastImport program, which will unpack and convert any valid Fidonet type mail packets found the in the INBOUND directory. After the import operation is completed Cyclone will perform a re-index and validation pass over the entire message base.
Export Packet
Scans the message base for any messages marked with an E (Export) flag and bundles them into Fidonet type packets, to be placed in the OUTBOUND directory.
Purge
Performs a purge operation on the current message area. Any scrap or unused data will be removed from the message base. If the area contains more messages than specified using the purge limit slider (see Preferences/Areas) then excess messages will be deleted.
WARNING! Check that the
area's purge limit slider is at a sensible value before performing a
purge operation. It's very easy to wipe out a whole area by not checking
this.
Poll
Loads your specified mailer program (Trapdoor, GMS etc.) and attempts to dial your boss node. The poll command string is taken from the network associated with the current area (see Preferences/Networks).
