Cyclone's main screen consists of the header text area, main message display and an icon bank. The first two are pretty self-explanatory, but the icons may need explaining :
Write new message
Loads your configured text editor and lets you enter a new message. When loaded the text editor will display a skeleton message consisting of the write-header and signature strings you have defined for the current area. Cyclone is frozen while you enter the message.
Before the text editor loads you will be presented with a message header window. Here you can enter the name and network address of the intended recipient, as well as the message subject line.
When you have finished editing the mssage, save and quit the text editor. Your message will be saved to the current are with an E or Export flag.
Reply to current message
Similar to the Write function, except that you will be presented with the full text of the current message included between your intro and sig strings. Each line of the message will be prefixed with the initials of the sender and a quote (>) mark.
Delete message
Removes the current message. There is no way back once you have deleted a message -- It's gone for good.
Back in thread
Jumps back to the last message with the same subject line as the one you are currently on.
Move back
Moves to the previous message.
Move forward
Moves to the next message.
Forward in thread
Jumps to the next message with the same subject line as the one you are on.
Edit message
Loads the text editor so you can change the contents of the current message. Pops up the header window so you can change the details there too.
Message list
Displays a list of to/from/subj/date data for all messages in the current area. Clicking on a message displays it in full. The first four buttons below the list enable you to set/unset the Export and Marked flags.
Area List
Displays a list of all available message areas. Clicking on an area saves all data for the current area and loads in the new one.
