Source is not available!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- History --- The reason for creating FindFile is ofcourse find a file. (Hehe) I got bored wandering around in my enormous amount of Directories to find a file I knew existed but didn't know where. This program will search the directory specified and all sub-directories beneath as well. Creation has taken me about a week due to some minor small problems. There is apparently a big conflict between FindFile and Cshell v5.13L but will work confidently with AmigaDos and CLI. If you find any major or minor bugs please report this to me by writing to the adress above. ## NOTE! NOTE! NOTE! NOTE! NOTE! NOTE! NOTE! NOTE! NOTE! NOTE! NOTE! NOTE! This program is preferably used by HD users due to the slowness of diskdrives! Too bad lamers.(Choke) It is ofcourse possible to scan drives but it will take centuries. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- Usage --- The usage of this file is very simple. You will probably find this documentation pointless due to the intelligent help in the main util. It should look like this: Usage : FindFile (Name_of_File) [PATH] Valid wildcards : #(Name_of_File) or : (Name_of_File)# ^ ^ WildCard WildCard If no path exist then the current directory will be used as root Well let's say that you in a critical moment of urgency had to locate a your Savefile to your favorit game in another directory due to lack of space or Mother yelling STOP! or mayby your local nerd (DEXter?) is banging on your door begging you to let him play the game with you. Then when everything has calmed down you can't find the file (Sulk). Simply write: FF MyGame.SAV DH0: If you can't remember the whole name of the file simply write: FF *.SAV DH0: The program will search all directories beneath DH0: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- Location --- The best place to locate FF (FindFile) is naturally in your C: Directory or in a Utility path. Such as DH0>:Util/ with DH0>:Path DH0:Util/ pure add ------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- Boards --- __________________________________ _________ __________________ / / / / / / / \/ / /\ / / / /\ / /__/__ / / _/ / / / / / / / / /_//_____/ /__/ / / / / / / / / / ___/ _/ / / ___/ / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /_____/_____/_____/_____/__/__/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/__/__/ / \_____\_____\_____\_____\__\__\_____\_____\_____\_____\_____\__\__\/ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ | / | |___ |___ __| ___| __| | / | / |___ --|-- /___| | | -- | | | -- | | /___| / | | | |___| |___| |___| |___| |___| | | / |___| SysOp : XOn ------------------------------------------------------------------------- __________________________________________________________ /\__________________\_________________\___________________/\ / / / _ / / / / / /__________/ / / /__________/ / / /________ / / /________ /\/ / / / / / / / / / / /__________________/_________________/__________________/ / \/___________________\_________________\__________________\/ _________________________________________________________ /\___________/__________/__________/__________/__________/\ \ \ _ \ _ \ _ \ _ \ _ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \_____ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \/\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \__________\__________\__________\__________\__________\ \ \/__________/__________/__________/__________/___________\/ SysOp : TERRoRIZER ____ ___ ____ ____ ___ ____ ___ | / | |___ __| / | | | / __| |___| __| | | --|-- /___| | | -- | /___| | | -- / | | | | | | | | |___| |___| | |___| / |___| |___| |___| |___| ---------------------------------------------------------------EndOfFile-
