SSPPEECCIIFFIICCAATTIIOONN CCOONNCCAATT reads each of the specified FFRROOMM files and writes it to the destination specified by the TTOO option. If no FFRROOMM option is given CCOONNCCAATT reads from its default input; likewise if no TTOO option is specified it writes to its default output. The following switches apply to CCOONNCCAATT SSOORRTT The FFRROOMM files are read in alphabetical order. Useful when concatenating files split with SSPPLLIITT. VVIISSIIBBLLEE Causes non-printing characters (with the exception of tabs and new-lines) to be printed visibly. Con­ trol characters are printed as ^X (control-x); the DEL character (hex 0x7d) is printed as ^?. Non- ASCII characters (with the high bit set) are printed as M-x, where x is the character specified by the seven low order bits. When used with the VVIISSIIBBLLEE switch, the following switches may be used. TTAABBSS Causes tabs to be printed as ^I's. EEOOLL Causes a $ character to be printed at the end of each line (prior to the new-line). The TTAABBSS and EEOOLL switches are ignored if the VVIISSIIBBLLEE switch is not specified.
