o First usable version. Successfully tested under AmigaOS/68k,
  WarpOS/PPC, PowerUp/PPC and NetBSD/68k.
o Supported options: 'q' (quick append) and 't' (table of contents).
o Reads and writes normal (GNU/SVR4) and BSD-style archives.
o Does automatic pattern matching under AmigaOS, to get the same
  functionality as under Unix.
o Still missing: Generation of symbol table!
