WTH! -------------------- I bought a CyberVision last month and I wanted to see my favorite pictures on a True-Color screen. Unfortunately, all my viewer programs didn't work so good as they did on AGA. V has born. My goal was to reach the following: FREE. FAST. FRIENDLY. and answer the users wishes! and answer the users wishes! I can say they have been reached. It's able to display the following types: IFF ILBM (EHB,HAM6,HAM8,DHIRES,SHAM,DHAM,PCHG,CMYK,CLUT) GIF (87a,89a) JPEG (Normal,Adobe,Progressif). PCX (1,4,8,24 bits) TIFF (NONE,BLZW,RLE,PACKBITS,NEXT,THUNDER,LOGLUV) PNG (Normal,Progressive) QRT RAW (height,width,RGBRGB...) PhotoCD (with orientation) BMP (1,8,24 bits unpacked) TIM (4,8,16,24 bits) TARGA (8,16,24,32 bits) (NONE, RLE) PPM (3,6) PGM (2,5) V has been developped to be best used under a graphics card environnement but it can be used on AGA machines. It uses by default the workbench screen but is able to open its own screen with the argument: -SCREEN=[WIDTH]x[HEIGHT]x[DEPTH] (ex: -SCREEN=800x600x16). V has its private BestMode function to fit your wished screen. In case of a too big picture, V has not only the ability to scroll it using the gadgets. It can scroll the picture simply by clicking directly on it. (OPAQUE MOVE a la ArtEffect) V closes the window with the usual way and with the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON too. V moves ALL the window contents with the MIDDLE MOUSE BUTTON. If you are on a TRUE COLOR screen, you can correct the gamma using the + and - keys. It means you can enter the following arguments: V DH3:mypics OR V DH3:mypics/ OR V DH3:mypics/#?.tif OR V DH3:mypics/~(#?.jpg|#?.iff) Warning!! the amount of memory can getting low very fast. You'll perhaps have 'crashed' pictures, but as soon as you resize them, everything will become ok again. The -MAXWIN option limits the amount of pictures displayed at a time. Using V in a multi window mode enables the following possibilities with the keyboard: Q(Quit) Closes all the windows. C(Clear) Closes the already loaded pictures windows. K(Keep) Closes all the windows, but not the one that's selected. R(ReOrg) Reorgs the windows. L(List) Reorgs the windows too. What V needs ------------ A Kick 3.0 and a 68020. THAT'S ALL. A gfx card is welcome. A math processor too. What V won't do --------------- Using any ALIEN library. (superview, ixemul) Using datatypes. What V should do but can't -------------------------- A PPC version is going to be done but I have MAJOR problems using my favorite C compiler. :( HELP WELCOME.
