The Problem: If your HD was close to be filled up with Data, you had to delete the files directly on CLI or with maintaince-utilities like DirectoryOpus. The Problem was do clear the deleted files out the catalogs, also it was difficult to decide which files should be deleted, cause you couldn`t read the discription. The FG-Deleter helps you to solve the Problems in an easy way. CoSysops are now able to the work on Remote, if the Sysop has no time to do. What does FG-Deleter do? The tool delete the files on HD & do the CatalogEntry. You can use the filenumbers of the catalog like Start at number 1 and end at number 10. You can decide to put the catalogentry offline or sign it as Deleted & move it in a special Area for your deleted files. After all you can clean the offline Files out of the catalog. How to Use: Delete from Number [Return=1] : <- Enter first Number to Start Deleting Delete until Number [Return=1] : <- Enter last Number to Delete Delete (S)elective, (A)ll : <- S = Before deleting a file you will be asked if you want or not! FG-Page is an optimized operator-page, which plays digital sound of your choice. So the Sysop will know if a User want to chat when he is working in the background. How to USE ? We always try to make our tools easy to Use. Create a directory in your BBS-path "modules" named "FG-TOOLS", e.g. "BBS:modules/FG-TOOLS". Copy all files out of this package into those directory. Now you`ll need to copy digitized sound in this path. You may use for every security-level an other sound. Example: You want a sound for the Sysops. Just rename your sound-file into: LV255.SND \/\_/ \_________ / |__________ \______Suffix for Soundfile / | Shortcut for "LEVEL" | The Number for the Security-Level (0-255) Other examples: LV0.SND for Security-Level 0 LV15.SND for Security-Level 15 LV100.SND for Security-Level 100 If the FG-PAGE doesn`t find such as Sound-file it look for a Default-File named: FG-DEF.SND If the default was not found the tools operates like the intern operator page. The Digisound shouldn`t be longer than 6 seconds otherwise the sound wont be played for the full lenght, but longer Sound will be accepted. What is FG-Toggle? You can`t use F6 to turn of FG-PAGE. You must use FG-TOGGLE instead. FG-TOGGLE asked you for a reason why you turned off the Page. Then the string will be displayed to all users who use FG-PAGE. If you just press return "I`m not at home!!!" will be displayed. To turn FG-PAGE on again just use FG-TOGGLE again. Is ther anything else? FG-PAGE is only one tool of a collection - called "FG-TOOLS" - which includes a lot more Tools programmed by Pilot/SFG and myself. You can definine many NewUserPW`s. It sends a Message to the Sysop if a NewUser has tried to enter the BBS The Problem If you have a closed system you need a check of Users. If you have more than one NUP (New User Password), you can give some Users of your System their own NUP. If you make Advertising in other closed BBS you can leave a NUP for that System. My Tool write a Msg to Sysop if any user uses a NUP and write from where he comes. Only what you have to do is to config the Tool right. How to Install Make a Drawer in the FG-Tools Directory named "cfg`s" copy the File NewPW.CFG into the new directory. Now you can modify the config with an Editor as described in the Config- Comment. Skel-Addtext : Create that Text with an EDITOR and Copy it to BBS:BBSADS. What is it? =========== ArcCheck.mod.cfg: That is a Config to disable/enable archives like DMS,ZIP... Skel-Addtext : That is a text that will added if someone upload : .TXT .DOC etc... What do you need? ================= You need all archive prg`s: UNZIP/ZIP,DMS,LHA,ZOO etc. They must be locadet in the C drawer. History 1.0 - Now the ZipCheck funktion work.
