1. Introduction...

        Ever notice something about running an /X
BBS? Files start to build up QUICKLY, and it seems
NO ONE has the time to move files when they become too
old to keep in the "new-files sections." When it finally
comes time to get those files offline, its can be such a bitch.
There has been NOTHING for /X Sysops to use, to makemoving
 files off-line easier... UNTIL NOW............
        Get ready for a REVOLUTION!


2. WHAT IT DOES..

        Slick Mover will make running a BBS fun again..
It easilly moves files.. That is ALL it does.. Thats ALL its
suppose to do.. BUT, it does it in a PERFECT way. When you
use Slick Move, and give the required conference information, 
you select where to move files to. This is specified in the 
configuration file.. You can have as many conferences as you 
like, but also, there is an option for OFF-LINE, for when you
get ready to back those babies up.. After you get that out of 
the way, you are asked for the file names.. THIS IS WHERE IT GETS
FUN... The special "DATE" mode is great! 


3. The DATE MODE...

        When you are asked to enter the filenames, you may
go into DATE MODE, by simply typing "DATE" instead of a filename.
The door will kick into date mode, letting you move ALL files
that are older than specified length, offline.. AWESOME.
If you enter "30 d", it will move all files older than 30 days
offline.. It will remove them from the file list in the conf,
and will create a new (or update an existing) dir-list in the 
off-line dir.. This does not have to be an existing conference, 
it may just be like DH0:backupdir, or dh1:offline, or whatever.
This way, you can move all files (say after 30 days) to an off-line
dir, and be able to backup that off-line dir, WITH a copy of the
list of off-line files in it.. 
        If you wish, you can have the mover move the files to an actual
"older-stuff" conference, and it will just move the files into
the proper directory, and update the conference's list.. Smooth,
perfect, to the point.. Slick Move should be a STANDARD! This
is the door that they should INCLUDE when you buy /X.
        Now YOU may finally rest! You and your SubOps will never
have to move files one at a time again!.. Thank us later...


4. INSTALLATION...

        Installation could NOT be any easier for this door.
There is a command file, to be put into DOORS:  And there is
a config file that is to be edited, and put into S:  And
finally, there is a move.info to be put into BBS:Commands/BBSCMD.
Thats ALL there is to it.. NOW its time to edit the CONFIG..
This is VERY easy.. All you have to do is, edit the existing
config file, and put the location of each of your conferences,
where you see the supplied.. Then the last line is where you
specify your off-line path..Then you are ready to ROLL!
        If you cannot get this door to run (under /X 3.++),
you must be retarded! Its about the EASIEST thing you can do!
