Omega 0.78 binaries for Amiga ----------------------------- Compiled by Niilo Paasivirta with SAS/C 6.3 using curses 2.00 by Simon J. Raybould. This is an unofficial binary (if I have time I might send the developers the diffs for Amiga version.) This binary should work in any amiga with kickstart 1.3 or higher. It has been tested on 68000 with 1.3 and 68020 with 2.04. It doesn't need ixemul.library. I think it requires at least 2M memory, and stack at least 32k. If you want omega to compress your save files, place "compress" program somewhere in your paths. It isn't compulsory. Hard disk installation Unpack this directory where you want it. You'll need to assign Omega: to omega directory (yes, assigns are poor... but I'm too lazy to do it any better way). The game gets its data files from path "Omega:lib/". Omega.sh in this directory is a script which will run Omega nicely. Change that "Work:Games/Omega" path in the script into the correct one, then copy omega.sh S:Omega (for example). "omega savefilename" restores a previously saved game. Floppy installation Take an empty, installed disk, name "Omega", then copy everything from this omega directory to it. Then you can boot from it and run bin/omega. I suggest you to copy system-configuration, fastfonts (if using kickstart 1.x) and compress to the disk and then make a proper s:startup-sequence. There won't be room for save files (well, perhaps one), so you may need a separate save disk.
