Making the Amiga Version of Hytelnet May 1, 1992 ================================================= This archive consists of the following files: README.AMIGA - this file Ami-HyTelnet - the unbound CanDo deck Ami-HyTelnet.exe - the bound CanDo deck custom - how to customize the information in hytelnet help - hytelnet help screen read.me - some info on hytelnet start - the 'Welcome to Hytelnet' screen whatis - still more info on hytelnet Ami-HyTelnet is written using CanDo version 1.6 by INOVAtronics, Inc. The unbound deck can be loaded into CanDo to see how it works. To run the unbound deck without CanDo, you need the freely distributable DeckBrowser program from INOVAtronics. The bound deck (Ami-HyTelnet.exe) will run as is without the need for CanDo or DeckBrowser. The other files are replacements for the custom, help.txt, read.me, start.txt and whatis files from the PC version of hytelnet. Note: In order to use the Amiga version of Hytelnet you must have the PC version. The PC version is available via anonymous ftp from access.usask.ca (128.233.3.1) in the /hytelnet/pc directory, in the file hyteln50.zip. You will need to use one of the unzip utilities for the Amiga or PKAZIP to extract hyteln50.zip. To install the Amiga version: First install the files from the PC version of Hytelnet on your Amiga. I suggest doing so in a subdirectory called "HyTelnet", but this is completely your choice. The archive will unpack about 1.5 megs of files, so floppy users are out of luck unless they want to eliminate some of the files. Then, unpack this archive. If you unpack the Amiga files first, then the 'custom' and 'whatis' files may be overwritten when you unpack the PC version. Please let me know if you have any problems with the Amiga version of hytelnet. Roger Holmstedt ------------------------------------------------------------------- JollySoft 7914 W. Dodge Rd.
