CNet PRO 3 Bulletin Board System software for Commodore AMIGA® by Ken Pletzer © 1989,1994 All Rights Reserved Perspective Software P.O. Box 87175 Canton, Michigan 48187 USA INSTALLATION NOTES: You may install CNet by simply double-clicking on the Install-CNet icon. However, it is highly recommended that you READ through at least the first few chapters of the manual before you leap in and try to install the software. You have some decisions to make about WHERE on your system you want various things to live. You are allowed to set up separate paths to the CNet system files; to wherever you want to store private user mail; to the message and file bases... Of course, there is nothing wrong with clicking on "Proceed" at all the path prompts. That will set up all of your starting CNet files in one hard drive area (usually on Work:). If you need to CHANGE where any of the system files are stored later, you will have to use a text editor to change the paths in the lines which the Installer added to your s:User-Startup file. LICENSING NOTES: Thank you for purchasing CNet BBS! Version 3 includes a new software licensing and registration system designed to help discourage piracy, and to protect your rights as a CNet BBS owner and system operator. All registered copies of CNet/3 are FULLY OPERATIONAL right out of the box. However, until you contact us by mailing in or FAXing us your registration card, on bootup you will be shown a special screen which asks for you to enter your LICENSE NUMBER. You must click on the OK button to continue. There is a forced delay before the OK button can be used. You can obtain your CNet/3 license number by mailing or FAXing in your registration card. YOU MUST PRINT LEGIBLY the registration number which you see displayed to you in the bootup screen. In this way, we can be certain that every legal CNet owner is registered in our database. Thanks for your cooperation!
