The Orionids are believed to be the other 
side of the stream which produces the eta
Aquarids in May. Better for observers 
in low latitudes or in the Southern 
hemisphere, this shower produces fast 
meteors (40 miles/sec). About 20% leave 
trails. While the rate is stated to be 
25/hour but can vary between 10 and 70.
