Producing very swift meteors (40 miles/sec),
the Aquarids are beleived to be derived 
from none other than Halley's comet. They 
generate long, glowing trails, many bright
meteors, often yellow. The rates may exceed
40/hour. The Aquarids are best seen in 
the Southern hemisphere. The Orionids in 
October are believed to be from the same 
meteor stream, crossing our orbit a 
second time.
