COPYRIGHT 1991 L&V Productions Reg'd 110 Columbus Ave Moncton, NB Canada E1A-5E4 PH: (506)-532-0094 FAX: (506)-859-2709 NTSC FONT(8 color ColorFont) This FONT is the property of L&V Productions Reg'd. It may be distributed in PD Disk collections as long as this README file is left intact in this archive. Otherwise it may not be sold for profit or bundled with a commercial program of any kind. You may of course use the output from this Font in any type of production on the Amiga. This would include commercially released programs/video productions as well. This is our very FIRST try at rendering Fonts on the Amiga. At this stage the KERNING tables are nonexistent and a few of the letters need minor alterations. REMEMBER, this is meant to be used in a NTSC environment for the FINAL output.( I really mean COMPOSITE because you can certainly use this in a PAL environment! as well). There is a 1 pixel outline in BLACK around each letter. This is to allow you to get better results when you use Dpaint to create a Drop or Rounded shadow around your text. It is also very important in the Antialiasing process. This is especially so with certain Genlocks, notably some Supergens which seem to be slow/lagging behind a pixel or 2 when faced with a one pixel switch from Overlay to Color0. This OUTLINE will also enable compatability with SHADOWMAKER once a small alteration is made to SHADOWMAKER in the next few weeks! REQUIRES the COLORTEXT wedge under WB 1.3 You'll find the COLORTEXT program on your 1.3 Distribution disk or on your DPAINTIII distribution disk. INSTALLATION: You will be required to create a Directory called NTSC. For example open a CLI Window and type makedir ram:NTSC copy df0:NTSC.font ram: copy df0:45.8C ram:NTSC This assumes that the NTSC Font files are on a disk in DRIVE DF0: The above commands will properly setup the Font in ram:. You could now view the Font from DPAINTIII by 1. Clicking with the Right Mouse Button on the TEXT gadget 2. Typing ram: into the Font requester & press return 3. Click with the Left Mouse button on the directory NTSC 4. Click on the OK gadget 5. Select YES when the requester asks you if you want to "USE THIS FONTS PALETTE" As long as you have previously run the Colortext program you should be now enjoying the NTSC 45 pixel high Font! Feel free to adjust the RGB values on the palette to work best with your particular Video environment. You may also change the palette spread to a COLOR spread. Unless you are a Color theory GURU try changing only one of the RGB components at a time. Remember just follow the same ratios on the color spread! These and MANY other Fonts will be available soon! As always at LOW LOW prices!
